It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living.

Who the heck is Russ?

Meet the guy on the right – that's me, the proud Pittsburgher who's lived to tell the tale. I wear many hats: dad, aspiring photographer, adrenaline junkie and adventure seeker. It's safe to say I've got a penchant for wild experiences and a passion for freezing them in time through the lens.

For over two decades, I channeled my inner geek as a mechanical designer, and collected a hundred hobbies but my heart always had its sights set on photography. Then, like a flash of inspiration, I discovered off-roading and overlanding—now I can’t sit still. Naturally, photographing these adventures became my second nature.

In the summer of 2021, I stumbled upon a group of off-road enthusiasts, and our rides together turned into thrilling chapters of my life story. My appetite for adventure didn’t stop there. Enter my partner, Liz, and our trusty companion, Elliot, the not-so-chubby tabby cat.

In 2022, we hit the open road for a year, towing our IntechRV Sol Horizon camper across the vast canvas of North America. From the icy embrace of the Arctic Circle to the sun-drenched tip of Baja California Sur, we wrote a love letter to the continent. Our epic journey came to an end in July of 2023, and for now, we've parked the camper back in my hometown, Pittsburgh, to recharge and catch up with friends and family.

Our next adventure awaits.
